WHAT IS A DEEP CORE TONING CLASS?

Deep core toning classes begin with BREATH-WORK, progress into isometric, deep core toning exercises, movements that tone the deep glutes, hip muscles in her thigh feet, spinal muscles and  shoulders

Unique to VASIE® Pilates Deep Core Toning classes are unlike any other fitness class in the world. Classes are designed to systematically retrain breath and unite breath and movement to get a stronger core, spontaneously better posture, physical vibrance and confidence from the inside out.

IS IT RIGHT FOR ME?

Anyone who is seeking a more control, strength, tone and less pain in their body. Also, safe and highly recommended for people with pain, hyper-mobility. Always consult your physician before starting this or any other program.

aka Strength & Flexibility Classes are a more challenging vs Deep Core Toning. We recommend you attend at least 8-10 Deep Core Toning classes before trying out a Strength & Flexibility class. Exercises focus on more range of motion, speed, flexibility and strength building.

What is an INTEGRATION STRENGTH & FLEXIBILITY class?

These classes combine stabilization and breathing skills taught in the DCT classes. ISF classes will build upon and work in synergy with the DCT classes to help you increase your strength, flexibility, conditioning, Improve your level of structural organization. ISF classes are best combined with DCT classes as early as possible in your VASIE Pilates journey.  Really, the name says it all - integration, strength and flexibility. ISF classes work your whole body, there is more emphasis on increasing strength, stamina, and range of motion. Under the hood, this workout will give you more than just a sweaty t-shirt. ISF classes are carefully planned to bring your body to the next level of cohesiveness and integration. Structural integration means all the parts are working together in harmony. Imagine lifting your arm and your neck stays long and relaxed or walking smoothly with your feet solid on the ground and your chest lifted effortlessly.

IS IT RIGHT FOR ME?
If you are mostly free of back, neck or joint pain add in 1-2 ISF classes in addition to your DCT classes as soon as possible. If ISF classes create pain or dysfunction, return to the DCT classes.

WHAT IS A VASIE® BARRE CLASS?

A barre class is based on classical ballet barre but we’ve made it safe, easy and fun for the adult body. No ballet or dance experience is necessary! There is no music and no tutus required and you don’t need to memorize complicated choreography. VASIE bar class focuses on slow, sustained movement for the lower and upper body. It is performed standing at a bar.

IS IT RIGHT FOR ME?

Barre is great for those who are new to the studio. It is safe for pregnant women, and great for anyone who cannot lie on their back to do a work out. be cautious if you have a hip knee or ankle replacement or injury, consult your physical therapist or healthcare provider before you come to class. it is generally very safe as there is no jumping and minimal range of motion but please listen to your body and feel free to modify as needed!

WHAT IS A VASIE® BARRE + MAT COMBO?

The first 30 minutes is a barre class is based on classical ballet barre but we’ve made it safe, easy and fun for the adult body. No ballet or dance experience is necessary! The 2nd 1/2 of the class is a Deep Core Toning Mat Class!

20 minute cardio tramp sessions are designed as an add-on to a regular class. Come take former class and stay for an additional 20 minutes to scorch some calories and get your heart rate up for the day!

WHAT IS A CARDIO TRAMP?

Cardio classes are performed lying on your back on the Reformer. A small trampoline is attached to the end of the Reformer so that you can jump in a joint safe way.

IS IT RIGHT FOR ME?

Cardio tramp classes are safe for most bodies. If you have low back instability, a recent knee or ankle surgery you are welcome to try several minutes of a class to see if it works for your body.

What is a FLOW class?

A flow class has few to no breaks between exercises, it is meant to get you into a nice flow state of focusing on your body, your breath, core, joints and deep connections.
Also, the flow scripts for January will be the same for the month giving you a chance to learn the exercises, the order and the pace so you can master the moves and really flow through them! A flow class is designed to flow from exercise to exercises working the whole body efficiently. minimal props are used

What is a BURN class?

A burn class has a strong focus on getting stronger and increasing your stamina! This is done by holding positions for just a breath or two longer, doing pulses fast and slow and increasing your range of motion and control. It is still really safe for joints and has a stability focus. Burn class scripts are similar to flow scripts - but with an extra little bit at the end of each move. minimal props are used
