How it works
Three steps. You keep paying the studio the way you always have.
- Take the health survey. It takes a few minutes online. A licensed, independent healthcare provider reviews your answers.
- If you qualify, you receive a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN). It is valid for 12 months. Truemed charges a fee for the review and letter, and you see it before you pay.
- Pay the studio as usual, then submit for reimbursement. Send your receipt and your LMN to your HSA or FSA administrator.
Your provider and your plan make their own decisions. Not everyone qualifies, and we can't predict what your plan will reimburse. *[[TRUEMED DISCLAIMER]]
Why Pilates, and why here
HSA and FSA dollars are for health needs, not general fitness. What matters is whether Pilates helps with a specific condition. Our classes were built around these:
Referred by 100+ Anchorage healthcare providers. 26 years, 10,000+ clients. The method is grounded in research on spinal stabilization, respiration, pelvic floor health and self-efficacy.
New to Pilates? Start with Pilates 101.
Our 90-minute beginner class is free, and it is the best way to see whether the studio is right for you. Many people take it, then complete the health survey so their membership can run through their HSA or FSA from day one.
- Fridays 7:00–8:30 pm, Saturdays 1:30–3:00 pm, Sundays 11:30 am–1:00 pm and 1:30–3:00 pm
- 4007 Old Seward Hwy, Suite 900, Anchorage. Free parking.
- Arrive 5 minutes early. We'll have a waiver and a short intake form ready.
Questions people ask
Will I definitely qualify?
No. A licensed, independent healthcare provider reviews your health survey and decides. Eligibility depends on your condition and your answers.
What is a Letter of Medical Necessity?
A Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) is a document from a licensed healthcare provider that explains how an activity helps with your health condition. Your HSA or FSA administrator may ask for it along with your receipt. Yours is valid for 12 months.
How do I pay the studio?
With your regular credit or debit card, just like any other member. Afterward you submit your receipt and LMN to your HSA or FSA administrator for reimbursement.
What does it cost?
Truemed charges a fee for the provider review and letter if you are found eligible. The amount is shown before you pay. Your membership price at the studio stays the same.
Does it work for both HSA and FSA accounts?
Yes, both are supported. Contribution limits, deadlines and rules differ by plan, so check yours with your administrator.
I'm already a member. Can I still do this?
You may be able to. Your plan decides what it reimburses, so ask your administrator how they treat payments made before your letter was issued.
Is online Pilates covered too?
We're confirming this with Truemed. Email hello@vasieonline.com and we'll tell you what we know.
